Breadcrumbs

Moths Count holds regular national conferences for moth recorders in each of the UK countries. These meetings provide a great opportunity to hear about progress with the project and the National Moth Recording Scheme, meet fellow recorders and share moth recording experiences.

North Wales Moth Recorders' Meeting

Saturday 13 March 2010, 1pm - 4pm
Pensychnant Conservation Centre, Conwy

Talks will include an update on the Moths Count project and National Moth Recording Scheme along with a review of the New Wales Biodiversity Action plan moths.

The Moths Count project will provide free tea and coffee to all attendees.

Places are free but will be limited so please book with Laura Wiffen nmrs@butterfly-conservation.org or 01929 406009.

Scotland Recorders' Gathering

Saturday 24 April 2010, 10am - 5pm
Battleby Conference Centre, Redgorton, Perthshire

The event is free of charge and will include a light lunch and teas/coffees. Booking by 16th April is essential for catering purposes. Please book with Shona Greig scotland@butterfly-conservation.org or 01786 447753.

We have put together a programme of interesting talks, and are fortunate to have Hugh Clayden to tell us about the Forestry Commission's view of the Pine-tree Lappet moth. Click here to see the provisional programme for the day.

In addition, Atropos and Bioquip will have stands selling books, moth traps, equipment etc., and there will be a chance to buy the new Scottish Borders Butterfly Atlas - and lots of leaflets and newsletters to take away and distribute.
