The Moths Count project organises a wide variety of free events across the UK every year.
These cater for all levels of expertise, from newcomers discovering the marvellous world of moths for the first time to experienced recorders seeking to further develop their skills. Over 2,200 people attended 135 events organised by Moths Count during 2007 and 2008.
Types of events
Training events covering a variety of moth-related topics (many of which are suitable for beginners), often involving some indoor teaching as well as fieldwork. Some events take place during daytime, others at night. Please ensure you bring a torch and suitable outdoor clothing for night-time events. Conferences and discussion meetings are also listed here.
