The event will start with an examination of the contents of a moth trap set nearby. There will then be a PowerPoint presentation lasting about 2 hours on field techniques and equipment and identification of the early stages, including appropriate literature. This will include a discussion of delegates’ aspirations and how they can help with Moths Count.

Followed by a field trip to Haugh Wood covering practical application of field techniques such as searching for larvae and pupae, use of pheromones etc.
