The first national distribution maps for 30 years have been produced by the Moths Count project

There has been exceptional demand for copies of the Provisional Atlas and the first print run of sold out in a matter of weeks! However, the atlas has been reprinted and is back in stock and available for purchase and immediate distpatch NOW! Again, limited copies are available so you are advised to order quickly to avoid disappointment.

The new atlas, which contains maps of over 860 larger moth species that occur naturally in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands, is the culmination of four and a half year's hard work by the Moths Count team and County Moth Recorders across the nation.

The maps are based upon 11.3 million moth records collated into the National Moth Recording Scheme over the past few years, and show historical (pre-2000) as well as modern (year 2000 onwards) records. Thousands of moth recorders, past and present, have contributed to this significant achievement.

Copies of Provisional Atlas of the UK's Larger Moths can be purchased from Butterfly Conservation for £20 + £5 p&p. All proceeds will be used to support ongoing moth recording. Buy your copy now!
